Frequently Asked Questions

What items will Bttr-Fly bring to the beach?

Bttr-Fly will transport all of your beach items!  This includes, but is not limited to, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, bags, games, toys, tents, and anything else you bring to the beach!  We will also gladly pull your beach cart full of beach gear for you - no more hassles getting to or from the beach! For your security, Bttr-Fly will not transport any valuable items to/from the beach, so kindly exclude these from your belongings (this includes, but is not limited to, wallets, purses, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, jewelry or any and all other items that may be deemed or construed to be valuable.  Please see our Policies for a complete list of prohibited items. 

Does Bttr-Fly have beach gear available for rent?

No, Bttr-Fly does not have beach gear available for rent; we take your gear to the beach for you!  No hassle; no stress!

Does Bttr-Fly set-up my beach items?

Yes! Bttr-Fly will set-up your beach chairs, place your umbrella in the sand (unopened), and place your other beach items neatly in your set-up area.  For your privacy and security, we will not unpack your condensed items or place your towels/blankets or the like. If there are other items you would like us to set up, kindly note it in your booking form and we will make every effort to accommodate.  

Please note that Bttr-Fly is not equipped to set-up tents, playpens or similar items at this time.  We apologize for any inconvenience. 

 

What beach areas/streets do you serve? 

Bttr-Fly currently provides its Beach Concierge Service in Ship Bottom, New Jersey from 4th Street to 31st Street.  We continue to expand our service areas, so please check back often for updates!  

 

How will I find my gear on the beach?

Bttr-Fly will send a photo of your gear and its location on the beach when your service is complete; there may also be a small location marker to point you to your gear (and help us identify your gear for Round Trip Services!). 

How much can be carried to/from the beach at one time? 

Bttr-Fly is capable of transporting a variety of beach items during your service! We realize load sizes vary, so we've set some general parameters for small, medium, large and oversized, with an additional option to use your own beach cart/wagon. We kindly ask that you condense your gear into as few items as possible for transport purposes. The table below aims to provide general descriptions and guidance when choosing your load size. Using your cart requires no additional charge options you will see at checkout along the with approximate pricing adjustments (subject to change):

 

 

Please note that the Beach Gear shown in the table above may be interchangeable with similarly sized items (subject to Bttr-Fly's Policies).   For example, 1 tent may be interchanged with 1 umbrella. If your gear falls between sizes, please use the number of beach chairs to determine your load size.

What time will Bttr-Fly pick-up my beach items in the morning?

Bttr-Fly picks up your items between 7am and 9am. Just leave your filled cart or condensed items outside your door, and leave the rest to us! 

If I book a round trip, when will my items be picked up from the beach and returned to my door? 

When you are ready to leave the beach for the day, condense your items, mark your spot and take a photo of your gear for us. Bttr-Fly will then pick up your items from the beach between 4pm and 7pm and deliver them back to your door with a photo!

What happens if there is inclement weather on the beach after I book a roundtrip?

If bad/inclement weather is forecasted on a day you've booked a Round Trip service, please contact us and we will gladly refund your service fee for the day - no questions asked; alternatively we can modify your order to a One-Way Service (door-to-beach in the morning) and refund the remainder of your Round-Trip service fee that day.

To the extent bad/inclement weather occurs during your Round-Trip Service before you are able to contact us and we've already delivered your gear to the beach, we kindly ask that you gather and transport your own belongings back to your door for the safety and security of your group, your belongings and your community.  In such instances we will gladly refund the remainder of your Round-Trip service fee for the day - no questions asked! 

Bttr-Fly reserves the right to cancel your service if bad/inclement weather is forecasted or occurring; in such cases we will gladly refund or reschedule your appointment.  Bad/Inclement Weather includes, but is not limited to, thunder, lightening, strong winds, heavy rain and certain other weather events as determined by Bttr-Fly in their sole discretion. 

 

May I book More than one day at a time? 

Yes!  We would be happy to accommodate service requests for multiple days!  Our system currently allows you to book up to three days at a time, and a discount will automatically be applied when two or more services are booked at the same time! 

My needs fall outside your service descriptions. May I make a bespoke request?

Absolutely!  While we cannot make any promises, we will certainly make every effort to accommodate your needs to the extent possible! Please use the Contact Us button below!

Are there any items prohibited from being transported with my beach items? 

Bttr-Fly strictly prohibits the inclusion of the following items as part of your transported beach gear: (i) any and all valuables. including but not limited to wallets, purses, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, jewelry or any other items that may be deemed or construed to be valuable; (ii) any and all alcohol, cannabis and cannabis-related items and/or drugs or drug-related items; (iii) any and all weapons, including items that can be deemed or construed to be a weapon of any kind; and (iv) any and all other illegal or prohibited items, including any potentially harmful or potentially dangerous items. Bttr-Fly is not responsible for the contents of transported items, and shall be held harmless should any incident arise. Bttr-Fly is not responsible for any lost or stolen property. By booking your Bttr-Fly Service, you wholly agree to to these statements in all aspects, assume responsibility for your own beach items, and agree to Bttr-Fly's Terms & Conditions, Policies & Procedures and COVID Protocols; this further includes your agreement to abide by all local laws and ordinances.
